A result is more than graft survival
The appearance of a hair transplant depends on the transplanted follicles, the surrounding native hair, hair length and styling, ageing, scalp contrast, and the original design. Any of these can change over time.
For that reason, 'permanent result' can be an oversimplification. The relevant question is how the plan is expected to age as the patient and pattern of hair loss change.
Design decisions have long consequences
Hairline position, distribution, donor use, and treatment area should be planned with progressive loss in mind. A design that looks dense in the short term may be difficult to maintain if it uses too much donor hair or depends on unstable native hair.
Follow-up and future options
Some patients may discuss medication, observation, styling strategies, or later surgery. These options require individual medical assessment and should not be assumed from general website information.
