Understanding results

Before and after images need context to be useful.

Result photographs can help patients ask better questions, but they cannot predict an individual outcome. Lighting, hair length, styling, angle, time since surgery, hair characteristics, and medical history all affect what an image appears to show.

Important context

No patient result photographs have been copied into this new repository. A future results library requires verified consent, image rights, consistent photography, anonymization, and clinical context before publication.

How to review a result responsibly

Look for comparable angles, lighting, hair length, and styling. Ask when the post-treatment image was taken and whether medication, fibres, concealers, or additional procedures influenced the appearance.

A strong result for one donor pattern, hair calibre, curl, contrast, or degree of loss may not be achievable in a different case.

  • Comparable baseline and follow-up photography
  • Time since treatment clearly stated
  • Donor area shown when relevant
  • Previous procedures and adjunctive treatment disclosed
  • No implication that the same outcome is guaranteed

What photographs cannot answer

Images alone cannot establish diagnosis, donor capacity, graft survival, scalp health, future loss, or whether the plan was medically appropriate. Those questions require clinical information and examination.

Use a gallery to understand a clinic's documentation style and to prepare questions—not to select a graft number or assume a matching result.
